Sumerian guitar [1] (also known as the Sumer guitar or the Orr guitar), is a musical instrument with strings, and is considered the oldest instrument known by history. The Sumerian guitar was found in Ur in southern Mesopotamia in the tomb of Queen Shebaad, and dates back to the time of Queen Bo Abi, 2450 BC. It was found in 1929 and is located in the Iraqi Museum of Antiquities (Sumeriyat Hall)

The Sumerian guitar consists of an acoustic box made of cedar wood, 65 cm long and 33 cm high and 8 cm thick. It has two wooden legs stretched to the top, encrusted with golden ribbons and two restaurants with triangular pieces of different colored stones. At the end of their peaks they receive the string holder, The front is coated with silver, one meter long and 37 cm long. [2]
